For by far the majority of medications, the prescription is for a set dose over the life of the prescription.

In the case of a small number of medicines - notably Warfarin - the dosage varies frequently depending on the results of regular tests.  In Plait it is convenient to treat these as "dynamic" medicines, and ask the care worker to get the current dose from somewhere outside the system (a note by where the medicines are kept, for instance).

Medicines that are able to be treated as dynamic have an additional Use as Directed? checkbox

if the box is checked then the Dosage field is hidden, and the dose on Plait Mobile is displayed as "As directed"

If you think another type of medicine should be flagged as "dynamic" please let the support team know - at the moment this has to be handled by the development team.
