This is a list of things that every organisation should at least consider doing to make best use of Plait.

  1. Set up emailed daily reports (probably CSV format is best) to at least one office staff member (or a dedicated email address) that would enable a skeleton service to be maintained if something disastrous happened to your internet connectivity, Plait or Amazon Web Services.  Ideally these reports should be generated outside of core office hours. See this video for how to set up recurring reports.  We would suggest the following reports, but you should think about your specific requirements:
    1. Current Customers
    2. Current Care Workers and Grades
    3. Bookings Listing for the next 48 hours
  2. Regularly check that your organisation setup matches your current requirements.  In particular:
    1. Configuration options designed to make life easier during implementations (such as Alert Cut-Off For Historical Events and Require Reasons For Office Logging on the Scheduling tab may need changing once staff are used to the system
    2. Once you are confident that all your staff are proficient at setting up permissions on their phones, you might want to check the Insist On Location Permission checkbox.
    3. The value in the Assume Location Accurate To field on the Point of Care tab can be made smaller once Lat/Lng is known to be accurate for all your clients.
  3. Regularly run the System users (excluding restricted) report and suspend any users who should not be on there. You can also check if users have multi factor authentication enabled here.
